Ministry Opportunities

We will be offering opportunities for you to discover what your spiritual gifts might be. This will include different surveys and inventories to help you evaluate your own strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes. When you complete this evaluation, you will have an opportunity to meet with a leader and discuss where you would like to minister.
As our leaders fill their roles, the church will be effective in building God’s kingdom. We believe that God has gifted each one of us with special gifts, abilities and talents to be used to build up the entire church. It is the responsibility of the leaders to empower and help you do what God is calling you to do.

Small Groups
One of our distinctives and a big part of our vision is in the area of small group ministry. We encourage every member to be in a group and be committed to that group in prayer, attendance and participation.
Our purpose is to provide an environment where members build close-knit family relationships. The goal is for group members to learn how to minister to and disciple one another.
It is essential that the small group be a place of love, trust, honesty and unity. This can be produced through a commitment to one another which is expressed in spending time together and sharing in all areas of life. As Acts 2:42-47 teaches, the group should strive to include study of the Word, prayer, fellowship activities and ministry to the church, community and the world.

Three crucial aspects of relationships in a small group are acceptance (Rom. 15:5-7), communication (Eph. 4:15) and forgiveness (Eph. 4:31-32).

Biblical commands to be applied in small groups are:
°Care for one another -- 1 Cor. 12:25
°Show forbearance to one another in love -- Eph. 4:2
°Be kind to one another; forgive one another -- Eph. 4:32
°Encourage one another day to day -- Heb. 3:13
°Stimulate one another to love and good deeds -- Heb. 10:24
°Confess your sins to one another -- James 5:16
°Meet one another's needs -- Acts 4:32-35; James 2; 1 John 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 8:7-15
°Create unity by:
1) Willingness to confront when necessary -- Matt. 18:15-20
2) Growing in Christ -- Eph. 4:11-16
3) Using your gifts to complete the church -- 1 Cor. 12-14
