The college and young adult ministry of Heartland Community Church seek to help our college students and young adults grow in their relationship with Christ. As a Church, we value our college students as full members of the church and desire them to be involved in the same way as our other members, but we also recognize the need for fellowship with those in a similar age and stage.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL MEETING LOOK LIKE?
The college/young adult ministry typically meets 1-2x per month for fellowship and social activities. These events range from Super Bowl parties to bowling nights. While we don't offer age-specific Bible studies we encourage all of our college students and young adults to connect to a community group.
WHO LEADS THE COLLEGE/YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY?
Our Associate Pastor Gary Goodrich currently oversees the overall vision and direction of the college/young adult ministry.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER OPPORTUNITIES?
As a Church we also know that many students are heavily involved on their local college campus and because of this we seek to partner with college ministries in the area. We are currently exploring a partnership with "CRU" at Wichita State University.
HOW DO I VOLUNTEER WITH THIS MINISTRY?
Volunteers are always welcomed and encouraged to participate in this ministry! We do require that all volunteers be members of the church and have thorough background checks. To learn more about volunteering with College/Young Adult Ministries, contact Gary Goodrich Gary@heartlandpca.org.
